Mexico Lindo reopened its doors last year; after having to close due to the pandemic. Thank you for all the support you have given us in the past year. We would not be here without you. We are extremely grateful that we were able to reopen & remain open.
This month, May of 2021, we will be able to celebrate
our 49th Anniversary and the traditional crazy celebration of Cinco de Mayo. A representation of the resilience & fight within New York City and our Mexican spirit. We are proud to be a small family-owned & operated business since 1972.

One of the City's Oldest Mexican Restaurants
Mexico Lindo Restaurant was opened in May of 1972 by Antonio & Leonor Bonilla. With Leonor's traditional Mexican upbringing and Antonio's restaurant experience; they set off to make NYC history. Thru hard work and strong commitment to the family business; Mexico Lindo celebrates its 49th Anniversary in May 2021.
Daughter Claudia now runs the business with an eye on local, seasonal dishes. Inspirations brought about by her childhood summer months, at their grandmothers house, outside of Mexico City. They strive to recreate the beautiful home cooked meals they were brought up with.
Thru out the years; each of the Bonilla children have done their stint thru the family business. Sister Lara currently helps Claudia with the day to day operations.
Our signature dishes are the Mole Poblano as well as
the Grilled Steak Tacos. Although during summer months;
local zucchini squash blossoms are used for our incredible hand made corn masa quesadilla.
Not to be outdone; Long Island corn comes thru for our
Bicolor Corn Esquites made with Mexican herb epazote.
